Know the Facts

Every lottery draw is completely independent. The balls (or RNG output) have no memory of past draws. A number that "hasn't come up in a while" is not "due" — its probability on the next draw is identical to any other number.

The odds of winning Lotto Max are 1 in 33,294,800. Powerball: 1 in 292,201,338. Buying more tickets increases your chances proportionally, but the fundamental probability remains extremely low. Lottery spending should be treated as entertainment spending, not investment.

If you find yourself spending more than you can afford, chasing losses, or lying about how much you gamble, please reach out to one of the help lines above. Help is free, confidential, and available 24 hours a day.

You must be 18+ (or 19+ in some provinces) to purchase lottery tickets. In Ontario and most of Canada, the legal age is 18. In British Columbia, Alberta, and a few other provinces, it is 19.
